Immunity to change
'Immunity to change' is a term that describes the situation where we rationally know that we should change something, and yet we don't do it.
The term comes from ‘Change, yes please!’, a book written by Lisa L. Lahey and Robert Kegan.
Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey are credited with the groundbreaking discovery of a hidden dynamic that inhibits personal and organizational transformation. This work (Immunity to change) has found its way to leaders and teams in business and government as well as educational institutions in the US, Europe and Asia.
At re:lead we use the term 'Immunity to change' in both our 1:1 coaching, Team and Group work as well as in our work with organisational transformation.
